With its sleek and contemporary design, the Bresser 7-in-1 Solar Powered Sensor 8-Day 4CAST XL Wi-Fi Weather Station 7003230 displays your meteorological data on a massive 48.3 cm (19") wide-angle colour screen. The base station is excellent for giving a broad overview of the weather in large rooms; it is ideal for offices, schools, and plant nurseries. The Wi-Fi weather station can display forecast data from the ProWeatherLive platform, which includes an 8-day weather forecast with maximum and minimum temperatures, the chance of rain, local visibility, and cloud cover, in addition to the data from your outdoor sensor.
An environmentally friendly 7-in-1 outdoor sensor that detects temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level, and light intensity is included with the weather station. It runs on solar power. There is no need to change the batteries because the sensor is solar-powered. To ensure smooth performance throughout the year, just line up the sizable solar panel with the sun. The integrated rechargeable battery stores energy to power the sensor when the sun shines. Your base station, which has a range of up to 150 metres, will then display the data.
The base station of the 8-day 4CAST XL Wi-Fi Weather Station does a lot more than just show the measurements from your outdoor sensor. For instance, it has an integrated thermo/hygro sensor that detects the air pressure, humidity, and interior temperature. A maximum/minimum memory is also included, which is ideal for keeping an eye on the temperature within your home and avoiding mould growth and overly dry air. The display also shows the maximum and minimum values for outdoor temperature, precipitation, and other outdoor parameters. The wide screen provides ample room to display not only weather information but also the time, date, day of the week, and moon phase. Additionally, the times of sunrise/moonrise and sunset/moonset are shown at the top of the screen.
With a few easy clicks, the portable solar-powered sensor's readings may be posted online, allowing you to access your data remotely via the ProWeatherLive weather platform (using the app or a web browser). Additionally, you can use the German-language portal AWEKAS to communicate measurements from your weather station to a smart home system at no cost.

Cold weather, hardly any sun – will the solar power continue to function?
Example: If, due to the weather conditions, the solar panel only charges for 4 hours each day and the charging current drops to 5 mA, the battery will charge 20 mAh each day. 5 mA x 4 hrs = 20 mAh
Even though the battery has to power the sensor for the remaining 20 hours, it will still store additional power, as the sensor only consumes a total of 4.458 mAh each day out of the 20 mAh charged. If the battery only charges for 4 hours at 5 mA, this will provide enough power for more than 4 days of use: 20/4.458 = 4.48 days
NOTE: It is not possible to ship the battery fully charged. The battery should have approximately 30-40% of its capacity when installed (i.e. between 600 and 800 mAh). This charge will provide enough power for 118 (600x0.88/4.458) to 158 days (800x0.88/4.458). As a result, a battery replacement will not be necessary for this sensor.
