The SanDisk Ultra Luxe USB 3.1 Flash Drive 64Gb is compact with an aluminium body.

When inserted into an USB 3 port it will read at the specified speed of 150Mb/s.

When writing files which are a total of 1Gb and larger it will start at 50Mb/s but within 20 seconds the drive will become very hot and the speed will drop to 15Mb/s. All additional data copied once the drive is hot will also copy at 15Mb/s.

This is the same speed as any normal USB 2.0 drive which do not generate any heat.

I have little confidence this drive will store my data error free over the long term as the heat generated when writing will eventually destroy the drive.

It is also quite tight to insert and remove however this is not performance issue.
