SAM is ideal and very simple to use for Widefield Astrophotography with a standard camera lens of 55mm or shorter focal length, as only a rough polar alignment is required, making it ideal for all types of amateur photographers who are unfamiliar with astronomy. SAM is capable of supporting larger camera lenses.
The Star Adventurer Mini Wi-Fi (SAM PRO PACK) comes with a dovetail L-bracket, polarscope, polarscope illuminator, ball head adapter, and mount for the Star Adventurer Mini Wi-Fi (SAM). For the majority of popular camera models/brands, Sky-Watcher shutter release cables are available separately.
The 1/4" or 3/8" adapters on the Star Adventurer Mini Wi-Fi allow it to be mounted to any common tripod. You may set the latitude by tilting your tripod head to match it, or you can do it more precisely by using the included Equatorial Wedge. Either the included Dovetail L-Bracket or a tripod Ball Head (not included) are needed to attach a camera to the Star Adventurer. The optional counterweight shaft/counterweight (sold separately) can be utilised with the Dovetail L-Bracket.

Control for Automatic Shutter-Release
The Star Adventurer Mini eliminates the requirement for an intervelometer timer. The SAM can trigger a DSLR via the auxiliary shutter release connection and has fully programmable shutter exposure settings. The camera will continue to shoot for the pre-programmed exposures after being plugged into the mount and firing a shot until the cable is unplugged.
