The Helios LIGHTQUEST-HR observation binoculars have individual eyepiece (IF) focusing, are fully waterproof (IPX7 standard, 1m depth for 30 minutes), nitrogen filled for clear fog-free operation, and are made for medium to long-range terrestrial and astronomical investigations.
The LightQuest HR 10x50 binoculars are incredibly lightweight while still having a highly sturdy body because it is made of magnesium alloy. Elegant firm textured leatherette covers the body.
LightQuest HR includes shockproof caged prisms, high-index BaK-4 prisms, a completely broadband multi-coated optical system, and more. High-transmission lens and prism coatings in the high-resolution optical system enable a significant light throughput of 90% or more. The incredibly low level of reflection of the lens coatings ensures that the eyepiece receives the maximum amount of priceless light. Delivered images are vivid, nearly distortion-free, and highly flat from edge to edge.
A highly corrected image is provided by the cutting-edge, inventive eyepiece design, which has eight elements in five groups and has bigger eye lens elements for comfortable viewing. For those who wear glasses, rubber eye cups that fold down are available.
