The premium-quality Parabolic Primary Mirrors used in the Sky Watcher Skyhawk 1145P models, which are typically found in larger, more expensive telescopes, minimise spherical aberrations to produce even sharper, higher-contrast images that are full of detail. A parabolic mirror, or more precisely a "paraboloidal" mirror, is ground to a shape that perfectly focuses all incoming light rays on axis. Additionally, to lessen diffraction spikes and light loss, they have 0.5mm Ultra-Thin secondary mirror supports. All the light beams are parabolized by the mirrors to focus on a single point, producing clear, contrasty images that are rich in detail.
