The Celestron UpClose G2 Porro binoculars house two Porro prisms, which are reflective optical prisms with two equal-length sides in the shape of a right-angle triangle. Porro prisms allow binoculars to be more compact without sacrificing focal length or light ray dispersion as they pass through, maintaining the characteristic "broad-shoulder" form of the lens. Because BK-7 optical glass has a high reflectivity, more light may travel through the optical path and reach your eye when using our Porro prisms.
To increase light transmission even further, the UpClose G2 porro binoculars have additional optical surfaces that have been coated with unique materials. Compared to uncoated binoculars, the view is brighter as a result.
You need binoculars that you can hold and use for extended periods of time without getting uncomfortable from bumps or drops, whether you're on a path or in a packed stadium. The chassis of the Celestron UpClose G2 is robust and lightweight, with armour protecting it. Rubber is applied to its sturdy, stiff structure so that it can withstand rough handling in the field. In addition to being water-resistant, the UpClose G2 can withstand unforeseen circumstances time and time again.
Because of its rubber eyecups, the Celestron UpClose G2 makes viewing via glasses comfortable for both glasses users and non-wearers. To ensure that your eyes are positioned correctly without glasses, keep the eyecups up. Just fold your glasses down so they are out of the way if you are wearing them.
With its potent 10x magnification for long-distance viewing, the UpClose G2 Porro provides a significant power boost when needed for following wildlife, whale watching, celestial observing, and more! You can see more clearly and with more detail thanks to the large 50mm aperture, which also makes it easier to observe at night and in low light. Whichever way you decide to view, these binoculars work well.
The Celestron UpClose G2 Porro binoculars may be mounted on any common photographic tripod for longer viewing or digiscoping, or taking pictures through an eyepiece. Separate sales are made for the tripod adapter. You can always keep your lenses protected with the detachable objective lens caps. Furthermore, even with gloves on, you can easily focus on objects at different distances thanks to the large, smooth focus wheel.
