The Helios LIGHTQUEST-HR is made for medium- to long-range terrestrial and astronomical investigations. It is fully waterproof (IPX7 standard, 0.5m depth for 30 minutes), nitrogen filled for clear fog-free operation, and has individual eyepiece (IF) focusing.
The body of the LIGHTQUEST-HR binocular is made of a magnesium alloy, making it incredibly light for a device of this size while still maintaining a very sturdy structure. The body is encased in fashionable rubber armour for protection.
The high-index BaK-4 prisms, a completely broadband multi-coated optical system, and shockproof caged prisms are features of the LightQuest HR 20x80. High-transmission lens and prism coatings in the high-resolution optical system enable a significant light throughput of 90% or more. The incredibly low level of reflection of the lens coatings ensures that the eyepiece receives the maximum amount of priceless light. Delivered images are vivid, nearly distortion-free, and highly flat from edge to edge.
The cutting-edge, ground-breaking eyepiece design, which has eight elements in five groups, includes extra-large eye lens components for comfortable viewing and offers a finely corrected image. For those who wear glasses, rubber eyecups that fold down are available.
