Celestron Thermistor for Smart DewHeater Controllers

The Celestron Thermistor for Smart DewHeater Controllers makes it easier to use third-party heating bands or straps and improves power efficiency. This add-on enables your telescope's corrector to receive just the perfect amount of warmth from the Smart DewHeater Controller (available separately) to prevent dew without draining your battery.  Numerous setups are supported by the 6' cable length.

How it works

Place the sealed probe tip of the Thermistor under the heating band while the heating band is connected to your telescope. Each cable should be plugged into the appropriate connector on the Smart DewHeater Controller.
NOTE: If you're using a Celestron Dew Heater Ring, the ring already has a thermistor built in, so you don't need to use this one.

- Enables "smart" control of dew heaters from different manufacturers when used in conjunction with Celestron's Smart DewHeater Controllers.
- Controls heating bands or straps to only give enough heat to the optics to prevent dew in order to conserve power.  
- Accurate temperature readings are provided by a sealed tip positioned beneath the heating band or strap.
