Poweroffs caused by unintentional cable pulls are avoided by the barrel connector on the DC plug's barrel, which threads directly onto the power jack on the mount.
It has a maximum output of 5 Amp @ 12 VDC, which is more than enough power to drive our largest mounts loaded down with heavy loads.
Additionally, compared to a transformer-style power adapter, the switching-type AC-to-DC power adapter offers greater power while being lighter.
