With the help of the free SynScan App for iOS or Android, the incredibly portable Sky Watcher Explorer 130PS Newtonian Astronomy Telescope with AZ-GTi Mount (10266) can be wirelessly operated with your smartphone or tablet. Because the AZ-GTi mounting has its own Wi-Fi network created by the integrated Wi-Fi module, it may be used anywhere without relying on other Wi-Fi or mobile networks. You can use the App's user-friendly touchscreen menu to explore the cosmos after entering your coordinates and going through a quick alignment process.
Full computerised GO-TO control is provided by the AZ-GTi and SynScan App, enabling the telescope to be automatically swung to any of the 10,000+ astronomical objects in the App's enormous database which incorporates Sky Watcher's Freedom-Find Dual-Encoder Technology, a patented invention that prevents the mount from losing track of the telescope's location even when it is manually moved in either direction. This offers the user during observing sessions a great deal of freedom, ease, and flexibility.
The Sky Watcher Explorer 130PS is a very capable all-rounder for the study of the Moon, brilliant planets, nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters. It has an incredibly helpful 130mm of light gathering aperture and a fantastic parabolic main mirror.
