The body of the Helios LightQuest HR 20x100 Observation Binoculars is made of a magnesium alloy, which makes the binocular incredibly light for a device of this size while still keeping a very sturdy structure. The body is encased in fashionable rubber armour for protection.
High-index BaK-4 prisms and an entirely multi-coated optical system are hallmarks of the LightQuest HR. The level of shock resistance offered by caged prisms is excellent. High-transmission lens and prism coatings in the high-resolution optical system enable a significant light throughput of 90% or more. The incredibly low level of reflection of the lens coatings ensures that the eyepiece receives the maximum amount of priceless light. Delivered images are vivid, nearly distortion-free, and highly flat from edge to edge.
The cutting-edge, ground-breaking eyepiece design, which has eight elements in five groups, includes extra-large eye lens components for comfortable viewing and offers a finely corrected image. For those who wear glasses, rubber eye cups that fold down are available.
