There are two roof prisms and an auxiliary prism inside the Celestron UpClose G2. Because roof prisms provide a straight line between the objective lens and eyepiece, the binocular is more compact and ideal for tucking into a handbag or jacket pocket. Because BK-7 optical glass has a high reflectivity, more light can travel through the optical path and reach your eye when using our roof prisms.
To further increase light transmission, Celestron UpClose G2 has additional optical surfaces that have been coated with unique materials. Compared to uncoated binoculars, the view is brighter as a result.
