The Helios LIGHTQUEST-HR observation binoculars are made for medium- to long-range terrestrial and astronomical observations and are completely waterproof (IPX7 standard, 0.5m depth for 30 minutes). They are nitrogen filled for clear fog-free operation.
The body of the Helios LightQuest HR binoculars are made of a magnesium alloy, making it incredibly light for a device of this size while still maintaining a very sturdy structure. The body is encased in fashionable rubber armour for protection.
The LightQuest HR 25x100 has a completely broadband multi-coated optical system and high-index BaK-4 prisms. The level of shock resistance offered by caged prisms is excellent. High-transmission lens and prism coatings in the high-resolution optical system enable a significant light throughput of 90% or more. The incredibly low level of reflection of the lens coatings ensures that the eyepiece receives the maximum amount of priceless light. Delivered images are vivid, nearly distortion-free, and highly flat from edge to edge.
The cutting-edge, ground-breaking eyepiece design, which has eight elements in five groups, includes extra-large eye lens components for comfortable viewing and offers a finely corrected image. For those who wear glasses, rubber eyecups that fold down are available.
The observation binoculars has a central stabilising bar and an adjustable integrated tripod mounting column.
