For amateur astronomers or watching from far away, Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED 7x50mm Porro binoculars are the best option. Superior optics, coatings, internal components, and housing materials are used in the SkyMaster Pro ED. The SkyMaster Pro ED raises the bar for astronomical binoculars with its big objective lenses, BaK-4 prisms, ED glass, and completely multi-coated optics using Celestron's exclusive XLT coating technology.

ED Wide Angle Lenses
Chromatic aberration, often known as colour fringing, is a visual phenomenon frequent in amplified optical systems. Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass essentially eliminates this effect. SkyMaster Pro ED offers razor-sharp photos with superb colour correction and edge-to-edge sharpness.

ED glass comes in different varieties. Compared to non-ED binoculars, Celestron's premium ED glass produces brighter, clearer images. In low light, the difference is very noticeable.

Prisms and Coatings
All the lens surfaces of the Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED are fully multi-coated and use the company's exclusive XLT optical coating technology.  These potent coatings, which are comparable to those on our telescopes made for observatories, reduce reflectivity for greater optical throughput over a wide range of the visible light spectrum. Additionally, the prisms inside the binocular are constructed using premium BaK-4 glass, which improves light transmission even more. In order to provide brighter, more detailed views, the completely multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms combine to send more light from your target to your eye.

Objective Lenses
With their large light-gathering capacity, the 50mm objective lenses provide excellent low-light performance. For scanning the heavens, viewing the Moon and planets, and discovering all the best deep-sky objects, the objective diameter-to-magnification ratio is optimal. In particular at dawn or dusk, Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED is a great option for long-distance land-based viewing.

The Body
Your SkyMaster Pro ED binocular is protected from harm by specially created rubber armour and a sturdy chassis without adding weight to you. Thanks to the retractable eye cups and nearly 21mm of eye relief, viewing through the SkyMaster Pro ED binoculars is comfortable for both those who wear glasses and those who do not. When peering through the eyepiece of their glasses, eyeglass wearers can see the whole field of view by turning the eye cups downward. The eye cups place the user's eye behind the eyepieces at the ideal viewing distance for people who do not wear eyeglasses.

Ways to Observe
A tripod can be attached to the Celestron SkyMaster Pro ED binocular. For prolonged viewing or digiscoping (taking pictures via the eyepiece), you can mount it on any common photographic tripod or monopod using a binocular tripod adapter (not included).

The eyepieces on the SkyMaster Pro ED are threaded to take the common 1.25" astronomical eyepiece filters. For both terrestrial and celestial observation, adding the right filter can produce vistas that are completely new. Sand, snow, and water can all have their brightness reduced for terrestrial observation via filters. Filters can reduce glare, ease eye strain, boost contrast, and even counteract the effects of light pollution for viewing at night. Keep in mind that the binoculars require a pair of two filters. Click here for a comprehensive list of filters and their advantages.

Share your new discoveries with family and friends! For the purpose of taking pictures and videos through the eyepiece, mate your SkyMaster Pro ED binocular with a smartphone adapter.
